Healthy Advice Networks and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America Announce Strategic Collaboration
Impacts More than 100 Million Patient and Caregiver Visits
CINCINNATI, OH. (April 1, 2008). Healthy Advice Networks, the nation's leading provider of physician office-based patient-education programs, is pleased to announce its strategic collaboration with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). Delivering critical health information at the point-of-care, Healthy Advice is supporting AAFA in its mission to reach large numbers of patients with its core messages of how people with asthma and allergies can live life without limits. The patient information is being delivered through Healthy Advices Primary Care Waiting Room Network, located in 13,575 primary care offices and visited by approximately 104.2 million patients and caregivers annually.
Mike Tringale, Director of External Affairs at AAFA, stated, Our collaboration with Healthy Advice Networks could not have come at a better time for us. The National Institutes of Health has issued new guidelines regarding asthma and it is critical that we reach patients with this important information. For example, we want to alert patients and consumers to look for products with the asthma & allergy friendly certification mark. These products have been scientifically tested and proven to be more suitable for people with asthma and related allergic sensitivities. Working with Healthy Advice Networks is perfect for AAFA because they have credibility, access, and high-quality education programs to support our objectives and meet our standards of excellence.
With over 60 million Americans suffering from asthma and allergies, there is a critical need for information to help improve their day-to-day quality of life, commented Tom Campbell, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Healthy Advice Networks. Our mission at Healthy Advice Networks is to help patients and healthcare professionals make more informed health decisions by providing relevant and easy-to-understand information at the point-of-care and we are pleased to do so in conjunction with AAFA.
Healthy Advice also has patient-education programs in Cardiology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Urology, Dermatology, and Rheumatology, as well as a program in primary care physicians exam rooms.
