Healthy Advice Networks Announces Recent Launch of Healthy Advice Urology

Exam Room Program Reaches 1,000 Urologists and 4.4 Million Patient Visits

CINCINNATI, OH. (October 30, 2006) Healthy Advice Networks, the nation’s leading provider of physician office-based patient education programs, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Exam Room Program with the addition of Healthy Advice Urology. Reaching 1,000 urologists and 4.4 million patient visits, the program impacts approximately 24% of the total estimated visits to urologists.

As average life expectancy continues to rise and patients enjoy longer, healthier lives, the need for specialists to provide more comprehensive treatment options increases. Successful therapeutic treatment is predicated on treating the medical condition and improving the patient’s quality of life. Last year, the top three reasons for patient visits to a urologist were overactive bladder (OAB), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prostate cancer. Award-winning disease-state brochures in the Healthy Advice Urology units discuss preventing, managing, treating and living with these and other urological diseases, and encourages better-informed dialogue between patients and their physicians.

“The program is truly valued by both physicians and patients,” stated Barbara Corr, Vice President and General Manager of Healthy Advice Networks. “Patients tell us they appreciate the privacy of the exam room setting to discuss sensitive and highly personal symptoms and value the information they learn about their conditions. In turn, 91% of physicians surveyed believe the program helps provide better care to their patients. We look forward to expanding this program and continuing to bring relevant, actionable information to patients and urologists’ practices.”

Healthy Advice Urology is one of four Exam Room Programs offered by Healthy Advice Networks. The others are Healthy Advice for You and Your Family, Healthy Advice for Your Child and Healthy Advice for Digestive Wellness. The Exam Room Program is currently growing at an average of 20% each year.
