Healthy Advice Networks Expands Its Waiting Room and Exam Room Programs
CINCINNATI, OH. (August 21, 2006) Healthy Advice Networks, the nations leading provider of physician office-based patient education programs, is expanding its waiting room and exam room programs. The expansions are in response to increasing demand from the pharmaceutical industry for proven-effective patient education programs at the point-of-care. With the expansion, Healthy Advice programs will now be in offices reaching more than 27,000 high-traffic U.S. primary care physicians. These physicians represent roughly 28 percent of total U.S. primary care prescribing volume.
Healthy Advice is growing the physician reach in their primary care waiting room program by approximately 25 percent and in their primary care exam room program by 20 percent. Healthy Advice is also upgrading the programs to feature enhanced digital animation and 27-inch digital screens in the waiting room, and a sleek, new display with expanded brochure library in the exam room.
We are very excited about the expansion of our primary care programs, said Michael Collette, president and CEO of Healthy Advice Networks. At a time when many traditional media properties are struggling to grow, we are finding an increased demand for Healthy Advices solutions. Our exam room programs are sold out year after year, and our waiting room programs are quickly following suit.
With an average lift of 8-12% in new prescription volume, our programs deliver the value of education with the return of promotion, and positively impact patients by empowering them to better manage their health, continued Collette.
Healthy Advices primary care waiting room program uses digital technology to deliver educational content and sponsor and physician messaging that is customized down to the office level. This communication flexibility enables patients to see information such as a brands formulary status on local health plans and new services offered by the practice, in addition to disease state and wellness information. The program can even deliver customized messaging based on the prescribing profile of the practice. Program content is updated monthly.
Healthy Advices primary care exam room program combines anatomical illustrations and disease-state brochures in a convenient display, permanently mounted in physicians exam rooms. Providing this patient-friendly health information at the point-of-treatment helps improve physician-patient dialogue. Program content is updated three times a year.
